Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Breathe new life into your old, scratched hardwood floors with professional sanding, staining, and finishing.

Restore, Don't Replace

If your solid hardwood floors are looking dull, scratched, or simply have an outdated color, refinishing is often the best and most cost-effective solution. Our expert refinishing team can completely transform the look of your home while preserving its original character.

Refinishing costs a fraction of replacement and can make decades-old floors look brand new. We work throughout Newcastle, Bellevue, and the Eastside, restoring hardwood in both older homes and newer properties that have seen heavy wear.

What's Included:

  • Dust-Contained Sanding: Advanced vacuum systems keep dust to an absolute minimum in your home.
  • Custom Staining: We apply stain samples directly on your sanded floor so you choose the perfect color in your home's lighting.
  • Commercial-Grade Finishes: Highly durable water-based and oil-based polyurethane finishes to protect floors for years.
  • Repairs & Lacing-In: If you have damaged boards or want to extend hardwood into a new room, we seamlessly weave new wood into old.
  • Board Replacement: We replace individual damaged or stained boards before refinishing for a seamless result.

Our Refinishing Process

1

Assessment

We inspect the floor condition, measure the wear layer thickness, identify any repairs needed, and discuss your desired color and sheen.

2

Preparation

We clear the room, protect walls and doorways, and address any board repairs, loose nails, or squeaks before sanding.

3

Sanding

Multiple passes with progressively finer grits remove the old finish and scratches, revealing fresh wood. Our dust-containment systems keep your home clean.

4

Staining (Optional)

If you want to change or enhance the color, we apply stain and let you approve the color before proceeding. Natural (no stain) is also a beautiful option.

5

Finish Coats

We apply 2-3 coats of professional-grade polyurethane, sanding lightly between coats for a smooth, durable finish that will protect your floors for years.
